Materials, our responsibility
Explore our Change range for more eco-friendly fashion.
Launching in autumn 2021, the Change range has re-imagined the use of materials to steer our collections towards a more environmentally-friendly approach, focusing on eco-responsible materials with low environmental impact. We have reduced the use of synthetic materials in favor of natural and organic materials, such as cotton and wool, as well as artificial materials derived from the transformation of natural materials.
ECOVERO® viscose, a certified fiber, is produced from wood pulp from sustainable forests, and requires less water consumption than traditional viscose. It complies with the strict standards set by the EU ECO Label to ensure its traceability and the sustainability of environmentally-friendly operations.
Lyocell, as a substitute for traditional viscose, is made from cellulose. The fiber is biodegradable and processed using a natural, non-toxic solvent.
Because change doesn't wait
Reducing our impact also means aiming for as little surplus as possible. That's why we work on a pre-order basis, with quantities kept to a minimum for reasoned production (which sometimes explains the stock-outs on certain pieces).
Also, with a view to recycling and zero waste, we use leftover scraps of fabric to make small complementary pieces for our collections.
Our stylists work with fabric scraps to create accessories featuring our exclusive prints, for a matching (and smart) look from head to toe, which are available in very limited quantities.
We don't make any extra fabric for them; we just recycle what's left.

The association La Mode Européenne is reinforcing its action in solidarity boutiques in Congo and Cape Verde by offering our products at very affordable prices for local people. Thanks to our high-quality, trendy overstock, which is sent to Africa, it gives new life to these products through reuse, and preserves permanent jobs for people who are furthest removed from the world of work.
